BH-Performance-TT-Graphite (Tactile / Textured)

Description

BHPerformance TT Graphite is an Ultra-Thin Baked-On Gun Refinish, based on the same chemical composition as BHPerformance BLACK with the addition of an added molecular texturing component.  “TT” denotes: Tactile and Textured.  TACTILE: because this refinish is engineered to fill-in and conceal most metal defects without the need for a heavy application or multiple applications leaving a smooth appearance – it’s like “cosmetic surgery” for damaged / distressed metal.  Also Tactile because the finish color blends well with many real life environments.  TEXTURE: Best described as a Smooth-Texture, is sufficient to enhance surety of grip frame hold and grip on slide during slide racking.

Note: The “concealing of bad metal” characteristics of BHPerformance BLACK & BHPeformance TT Graphite are opposite.  Any visible metal defects prior to a BHPeformance BLACK Refinish, will be visible post-refinish unless additional metal prep time is chosen.  Additionally, some firearms with major metal pitting / damage may not be eligible for BHPerformance BLACK if surface prep and buffing risks “wavy metal”.  BHPeformance TT Graphite reduces the need for additional metal prep time on firearms that have significant metal damage and is also excellent for firearms with good metal condition.

Please note:

Slide and Frame need to be shipped stripped from small parts. If the gun is shipped to our service center with small parts not removed, the additional bench time needed for disassembling the gun (minimum $35) will be additionally invoiced.

Best for handguns with excellent METAL Condition with no visible defects and for handguns that will receive additional Metal Prep prior to refinish.  These baked-on refinish options are also excellent for parts and all materials including Steel, Aluminum, AND POLYMER/PLASTIC.  (When used to refinish Polymer frames or plastic parts, we use half the baking temperature for twice the time – good result!)

BH COLOR-CASE-HARDENED – This Premium Refinish is an Acid-Wash Process that creates the Gloss-color-reaction in the steel, unlike refinish approaches that are a baked-on coating.  Because of the end-color variations in the steel, some “concealment” of defects may be a side-benefit, but is not a reliable or predictable benefit of this refinish approach.  BH Color-Case-Hardened Finish is only possible on Steel Frame and Slides and not recommended as a Parts Refinish.
